
Dr. Hall (she/her), practice founder, was born and raised in Nova Scotia and graduated with a BSc Honours in Psychology from Acadia University. Graduate school brought her to the University of Windsor where she earned an MA and a PhD in Psychology. Dr. Hall has over 15 years experience in supporting adults, young children, and families through assessment and psychotherapy services, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, writing, and presenting to the community. Dr. Hall is licensed by the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) to provide assessment and psychotherapy services to children, adults, and families with practice in Clinical and Rehabilitation Psychology. She has been deemed an expert witness by the Ontario Court.
Dr. Hall’s work is grounded in evidence-based practices and the importance of relationships – with others and with oneself. Dr. Hall works from a Humanistic foundation and integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Emotion Focused Trauma Therapy (EFTT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), play-based therapy, attachment, and other approaches into her work with clients. She offers neurodiversity affirming, LGBTQ2SIA+ allied, and Health at Every Size (HAES) aligned supports. Dr. Hall believes in the curative power of connection, mindfulness, empathy, genuineness, unconditional and radical acceptance, self-compassion, and belonging. She is a proud mum to a spunky 14 year old daughter, 5 year old cat, and new kitten, and loving wife to her husband of 17 years.

Originally from rural North Middlesex, Dr. McLachlan (she/her) completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Western University in London and then her Masters and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Queen’s University in Kingston. She added neuropsychology as an area of practice in 2010. For 30 years, she provided psychological services as part of a team of health care providers at a post-acute Windsor hospital in the mental health and physical rehabilitation programs. As well as completing neuropsychological assessments and providing psychological diagnoses, she provided brief psychotherapy, facilitated coping groups and provided interventions for individuals with persisting symptoms after concussion. She is registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario to provide psychological assessment and psychotherapy services to adults and seniors with practice in Clinical Neuropsychology as well as Clinical and Rehabilitation Psychology.
Taking a client-centred approach that is grounded in evidence-based treatment, Dr. McLachlan provides psychotherapy to individuals dealing with mental health concerns such as depression and anxiety, as well as to individuals with who have experienced life altering events, are adjusting to disability or dealing with chronic health conditions such as pain. Therapeutically, she draws from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support clients in optimizing their mental health and quality of life.
Outside of the psychology practice, Dr. McLachlan enjoys volunteering in the community, spending time with her husband and adult children, gardening, and attending plays/concerts.
Dr. Ashley Paterson (she/her) graduated from the University of Windsor with her Ph.D. in clinical psychology. She has over 15 years of clinical experience providing services to children, adolescents, and adults who present with a variety of mental health and neurodevelopmental concerns. For the past 10 years, she has worked in the school system supporting children and families, and collaborating with school teams, and in private practice providing individual therapy to adults who presented with a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment to an illness or injury. Prior to this, she was mentored at the Teen Health Centre, Regional Children’s Centre, and Victims Services. She completed her residency through the Kingston Internship Consortium where she provided assessment and therapy to children and adults with Intellectual Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other neurodevelopmental concerns. Dr. Paterson is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) with declared areas of competencies in clinical and school psychology with children, adolescents, and adults.
Dr. Paterson has a client-centred and collaborative approach to therapy that is grounded in evidence-based practices. She primarily draws from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Emotionally-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). Attachment theory and trauma-informed practices guide much of her work.

Lori Stevens (she/her), earned a graduate degree in Master of Social Work from the University of Windsor. She is a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Her ongoing commitment to life-long learning has further included diplomas in Early Childhood Education, Developmental Services Worker and a Bachelor of Social Work. Lori has maintained a steadfast determination to support children, families and individuals for over 20 years.
Lori is trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy for Adolescents (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), cognitive behavioural interventions, attachment-based approaches, solutions-focused, and work within a trauma informed framework. Your individual needs and desired goals will inform the therapeutic approach utilized.
Lori is devoted to creating a safe place and a strong therapeutic relationship to explore the life challenges you are facing. This means supporting you in achieving outcomes which align with your personal values and beliefs. The courage it takes to seek support and willingness for vulnerability are not lost on Lori. Respect for your individual situation which brought you to this place will always be honoured, whether it is seeking support in your parenting journey, adjusting to a new life circumstance, developing effective strategies to cope with depression or anxiety, healing from a painful past, promoting healthy relationships, or living with chronic pain.

We are thrilled to have Becky as part of our team as Psychometrist and Administration support staff.
Becky Lanoue (she/her) obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Windsor and a post-bachelor certificate in Communication Science and Disorders from Wayne State University.
Since graduation, Becky has primarily worked with children with developmental and/or mental health needs. She has supported children and families through providing developmental assessments, recommendations, support plans, as well as adult education on typical and atypical child development. She has considerable experience with a variety of presenting difficulties including mental health, learning disabilities, global developmental delay, ADHD, and autism.
Becky is very passionate about her work and excited about her role at Dr. Hall & Associates. She looks forward to providing a welcoming and positive experience for all who enter the practice. Becky will provide both administrative and clinical supports and will work conscientiously to ensure a pleasant, seamless, and successful experience for all clients, staff and those who interact with the practice.
Becky is a married mother of two enthusiastic youngsters, three cats, one dog and ten chickens. She has completed several half marathons and loves gardening and the outdoor life.
