All our clinicians work with children, families, and adults. Services for teens are also provided by Lori Stevens, Social Worker. Dr. Hall is licensed as a psychologist through the College of Psychologists of Ontario to provide treatment and assessment services to children, families, and adults with both clinical and rehabilitation specialties.
Consent refers to the process of obtaining the client's informed agreement before starting any treatment or assessment. This involves explaining the nature of the therapy/assessment, discussing the goals, benefits and risks, and obtaining your agreement to proceed. The consent process also includes discussing issues such as the voluntary nature of psychotherapy and assessment, confidentiality and limits or exceptions to confidentiality, fees, and the therapist's/assessor's qualifications. It is important to understand and sign a consent form before beginning any psychotherapy treatment or assessment process. Your consent will also be obtained to use technology for services (e.g., for online virtual sessions).
Confidentiality is a cornerstone of psychotherapy and assessment, as it allows clients to share their thoughts and feelings in a safe and private environment. At Dr. Hall & Associates, we take your right to confidentiality seriously. As is the case for all regulated health providers, there are limits to confidentiality that all psychologists and social workers must follow. In these cases, your clinician may be required or permitted by law to report the situation as appropriate. Confidentiality and limits to confidentiality are reviewed fully when you complete your Consent to Treatment/Assessment form at your first visit.
Examples of limits to confidentiality include:
The fee for treatment or assessment with a psychologist is $200/hour and for social work services is $150/hour. Fees are due payable at the end of the session. We accept cash, e-transfer, cheque, debit (via in person Square payment), or Visa/Mastercard payments through the OWL electronic health record software. An electronic receipt will be provided after payment is received.
Psychological Assessments vary in cost and most usually range from 10-16 hours total, including clinical interview, test administration and interpretation, collateral contacts as indicated, report writing, and feedback. We will discuss the projected cost of assessment prior to beginning, as well as the maximum cost. Typically, half of the assessment fee is due at interview, with the other half due at feedback. The completed assessment report is provided once payment has been received in full.
Many extended benefits insurance carriers offer coverage for the services of a psychologist or social worker which can help make psychological services more affordable. The amount of insurance coverage you have for psychotherapy or assessment can vary depending on the specific insurance policy and company. It is best to check with your insurance provider to understand the details of your coverage. Most typically, you will need to pay for the session 'out of pocket' first and then submit the provided receipt(s) to your insurer for reimbursement. We are able to direct bill Greenshield.
The office has a 24 hour cancellation and No Show policy in effect. Please call (226)785-3799 or your therapist's direct phone number, or email drhallandassociates@outlook.com or your clinician directly to cancel/reschedule as soon as you know you are unable to attend.
